Your wedding venue is one of the most important parts of your wedding. Once you decide on a date and book your venue, you can pretty much get the ball rolling. Always keep in mind when the peak seasons are for weddings, because the price will be higher and you’ll have to decide on a spot quickly.
Remember your budget. I know you may find a venue that seems perfect for your day; you may want to stretch your budget to get that location to fit in your price range. Depending on if you can afford to alter your budget to book the venue, you may consider doing so, but keep in mind there may be several other venues that offer the same amenities at the same or lower price. If you have a wedding coordinator, like us, they may have business contracts and relationships with different venues to get it at a discounted price. To get meals plated is always more expensive than buffet style. So, make sure your venue is open to doing the one you prefer and check to see if you can bring in your own licensed caterer; that may allow you to save a little more.
Think about your guest list. You may want to invite everyone you, your mother, father and siblings have ever met to the wedding, but you have to feed all of those people. Imagine throwing a spectacular, intimate and personal event where you are providing food, drinks, entertainment and everything, you wouldn’t offer an invitation to everyone, only individuals with whom you have a relationship.
Themed weddings. Themed wedding are very popular now, so finding a venue to coordinate with your love story might be a little frustrating. Try looking for venues that are all inclusive, from decorations, bridal suite and having your ceremony and reception at the same building. This will allow you to save a little more and even if you can't find the exact venue you’d pictured...it can always be decorated to perfection.
