When it comes to deciding on what colors to have for you wedding, your mind can go from every color in the rainbow to simply “black and white”. Plus the more you think about mixing and matching certain colors, it might not turn out to be the perfect pallet. Here are a few ideas on how to pick a color scheme for your wedding day?

Look at wedding magazines for inspiration.  Wedding magazines and websites are plastered with several colors and themes. Make a Favorites List of which colors catch your eye and are most pleasing to you. Also, think of what type of vibe you want to go for, do you want a more romantic feel or whimsical garden vibe? These themes and color can help set the atmosphere for your wedding. Certain colors make you feel differently, like purple and red are colors of passion. Keep that in mind when looking for wedding colors.

Think about the season you’re getting married in. The season in which you decide to have your wedding can help with choosing your wedding colors. Look at the seasonal colors, pastels are more of a spring color and you’ll be able to find the décor that you’re looking for during that season. Mocha and earth tone colors are associated more with the fall, so those colors and flowers that compliment it will be flourishing during that time.
