On your wedding day you want to be surrounded by people you love and have your best friends, sisters, and standing next to you and of course your husband to be as you tie the knot. Picking your bridesmaids can be the easiest task or the most complicated. Overall, understand that whoever you chose should only add to the joy of your big day, not make it stressful.
When it comes to family members, it's nice to incorporate them but, make sure you have a genuine relationship with each person, from your sisters, cousins and even your aunts. Don't just put them in your wedding because you're related by blood, do it based off of the bond. They may or may not understand it, so be prepared for attitudes but overall if they don't support you or your union, why bother.
You may have friends from different walks of life that you have grown to love and depend on. Those friends are the ones you should include, from your best friend since kindergarten to your first college roommate. You may have expressed your excitement for your wedding day and even shared dreams of that day with them in the past. If you consider those individuals to be the ones that you would like to remember when you think of your wedding day, make sure they’re apart of it.
You may find that you don't have as many people that you would consider a close enough friend to help plan with you, and that's okay too! Who says you have to even have bridesmaids. Just make sure that the people you pick are determined to make your day special, you'll be surprised to see other people make YOUR wedding about THEM. So, make sure they have you and your future husband’s best interest at heart!
